Jeatout Privacy Policy

Jeatout ("we", "our", "us") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data Jeatout processes, how it is used, and your choices.

Information We Process

• Location data (approximate and precise): used to show nearby restaurants and improve check-in map results.
• Photos and camera access: used when you add photos to your ratings and reviews.
• Notification permission: used to send local or push notifications when enabled.
• App content you create: such as restaurant notes, ratings, wishlist items, and quests, stored on-device unless you explicitly share content.
• Advertising identifiers and ad interaction data (Android only): when ads are displayed on the Android version of Jeatout, our advertising partner (Google AdMob) may collect your Android Advertising ID, IP address, device and operating system information, and information about ads you view or interact with. See the "Advertising" section below for details and opt-out options. The iOS version of Jeatout does not display advertisements.
• Purchase information (Google Play Billing): when you make an in-app purchase such as "Remove Ads," your purchase is processed by Google Play Billing. Jeatout receives confirmation of the purchase from Google but does not receive or store your payment card details.

How We Use Information

• Provide core app functionality (reviews, check-ins, wishlist, map discovery).
• Display nearby places based on your location.
• Let you attach photos from camera or photo library to entries.
• Support notifications if you opt in.
• Display and measure advertisements on Android, and provide the option to remove them via a one-time purchase.
• Verify and restore your "Remove Ads" purchase across reinstalls on the same Google account.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. The app may send request data to service providers needed for functionality, including:

• Google Maps Platform and Google Places API — to return nearby location results when you check in or search for a place.
• Google AdMob (Android only) — to serve and measure advertisements in the free version of the app on Android. AdMob may receive your Android Advertising ID, IP address, device information, and ad interaction data. See Google's Ads Policy and the Google Privacy Policy for details. You can purchase "Remove Ads" inside the app to disable advertising entirely.
• Google Play Billing — to process in-app purchases such as "Remove Ads."

Advertising (Android Only)

The free version of Jeatout on Android displays banner advertisements provided by Google AdMob. For users in regions requiring consent (such as the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom), Jeatout uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request your consent before delivering personalized advertising. If consent is not granted, Jeatout requests only non-personalized ads, which do not rely on your advertising profile.

To remove advertisements entirely, open the in-app menu and choose Remove Ads to make a one-time purchase through Google Play. Your purchase is tied to your Google account and can be restored on other devices using the Restore Purchases option in the same menu.

You can additionally reset or limit ad personalization at the device level via Settings → Google → Ads on your Android device.

In-App Purchases

Jeatout offers a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase called "Remove Ads" that disables advertising for your Google account. Purchases are handled entirely by Google Play Billing. Refunds are governed by Google Play's refund policy. Jeatout does not store or process payment card details.

Data Retention

Data you create in the app is retained on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. Ad and purchase records held by Google are retained according to Google's own policies.

Your Choices

• You can disable location, camera, photo, and notification permissions in your device settings.
• You can delete app entries from within the app.
• On Android, you can purchase "Remove Ads" to disable all advertising in Jeatout.
• On Android, you can reset or opt out of ad personalization in Settings → Google → Ads.

Children's Privacy

Jeatout is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Advertising in Jeatout is not targeted at children.

Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect app data. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Updates will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date.
